DALLAS TeleCollege awards academic credit for military training when appropriate. Military transcripts are evaluated with the American Council on Education’s Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Forces.

Credit may also be transferred in to DALLAS TeleCollege from most accredited institutions with the receipt of an official transcript. Additionally, credit is awarded for DANTES, CLEP and AP exams. Up to 75% or a degree (approx. 45 credit hours) may be earned in this manner.

Awarding of credit by transfer or military experience is based on an individual evaluation of your SMART and additional academic transcripts. Please be advised that while a great amount of credit may be "accepted," not all of these credits may be "applied" to degree requirements (especially in the case of required core academic courses).
