The College has an "open door" admissions policy. It insures that all persons
who can profit from the post-secondary education have an opportunity to enroll. The
College requires certain assessment procedures or Placement
Tests for use in course placement. Assessment is not used to determine admission
except for students concurrently enrolled in high schools and for those wishing to enroll
in "special admissions" programs. Students under the age of 18 or without a high
school diploma or G.E.D. may be approved for admissions under special circumstances. Texas
students will be required to complete TASP or alternate assessment as stipulated by the
State of Texas.
